Building Community

Making a Difference

Santa Rosa Women for Good is a nonprofit giving circle of local women committed to making a meaningful impact right here in Sonoma County. Together, we pool our resources to support local nonprofits with quarterly grants and lend our time through hands-on volunteer work. Each member donates $100 per quarter and as a group, we democratically vote to award our collective gift to a nonprofit doing important work in our community.

Through monthly social gatherings and volunteer opportunities, we connect, network, and build lasting friendships while deepening our connection to the causes we care about.

The more women who join, the greater our collective impact can be. If you're looking for connection, purpose, and a powerful way to give back, we’d love to welcome you.

One woman in a gray sweater holds a glass of red wine, while another woman in a striped shirt and a third woman in a similar striped shirt are smiling and talking. The kitchen counter is filled with wine bottles, a cutting board with fruits, a platter of meats, a bowl with vegetables, and a pepperoni, cheese, and crackers plate.

    Building Community

One of the primary goals of Santa Rosa Women for Good is to help bring women together to network, build new friendships and get to know new people in our community. It can be hard to find ways to meet new people and Santa Rosa Women for Good brings together like-minded women of all backgrounds who connect first over their commitment to the community and from there have the opportunity to build personal and professional relationships that can expand inside and outside of the group.

    Serving the Community

Beyond our quarterly donations, the women of Santa Rosa Women for Good seek opportunities to put our commitment into practice by volunteering together. Any of our members can suggest and help coordinate a hands on volunteer activity where we can enjoy socializing with each other and give back directly to support a non-profit in the area. We have been excited to get to be a part of the work some of the local non-profits we have learned about are having in a practical way.

    Making a Difference

Through the generosity of our members, we are able make a large collective impact when we donate together as a group. In our first 24 months, the Santa Rosa Women for Good has directly donated $50,000 to non-profit organizations in Sonoma County that are doing incredible work in the community. Very quickly, each member’s $100 quarterly donation adds up to a huge impact when we give together.

The support from our community got my family through a very difficult time when we lost our home in the Tubbs fire. I am committed to giving back to a community that was there for me when we needed help!
