A Galentine’s Night to Remember

Our February Galentine’s Happy Hour Social was truly one for the books. With 30 women coming together for a relaxed evening of connection and conversation, the energy in the room was warm, joyful, and deeply affirming of why Santa Rosa Women for Good exists.

Hosted by our generous friends at 4th Street Cellars, the evening was a celebration of friendship, philanthropy, and the power of women coming together with shared outlook on community. We are incredibly grateful to Kori at 4th Street Cellars for opening their space to us and for the continued support of our growing community. We can’t wait to come back again!

Celebrating Impact: Council on Aging & Ceres Community Project

One of the most meaningful aspects of the evening was the opportunity to celebrate our Winter Grant recipient, Council on Aging. Surrounded by members and guests, we were proud to officially present Council on Aging with a $5,000 check, made possible by the collective generosity of our Impact Members. Hearing about the vital programs they provide to support older adults in our community was inspiring and a powerful reminder of what’s possible when we give together.

We were also honored to welcome members of the Ceres Community Project team, who joined us to personally thank the group for the recent $1,411 special grant we awarded them. This funding was provided while we await news on whether Ceres has been selected for a matching grant through Newman's Own Foundation, for which our group proudly submitted a nomination on their behalf. It was special to have the chance to celebrate Ceres in person and hear firsthand how community support fuels their mission. We are looking forward to connecting with their organization again soon for a volunteer event.

New Faces, New Connections

Overall what made the evening especially meaningful was the number of women who attended knowing no one when they arrived. Several ladies shared that coming felt like a leap outside their comfort zone, but watching introductions turn into conversations, laughter, and genuine connection was incredibly rewarding.

Creating a space where women feel safe, welcomed, and included is central to who we are. Seeing new relationships begin to form reminded us that community isn’t just something we talk about; it’s something we are actively building, one gathering at a time.

Momentum Toward 100 Members

We also shared an exciting update with attendees: Santa Rosa Women for Good is officially at 95 members. That means we are just five impact members away from reaching our goal of 100 members, a milestone that will unlock our ability to award a $10,000 grant.

With the energy and growth we’re seeing, it’s feeling very possible that our Spring quarter could be the moment that pushes us over the top. The idea that our community-building efforts directly translate into greater impact for local nonprofits is incredibly motivating. If you aren’t a member yet, now is a great time to join our community and contribute to help us reach this next milestone and ability to give back to our community.

Gratitude & What’s Next

Evenings like this remind us why we gather—not just to socialize, but to connect, to learn, and to make a difference together. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who joined us, especially those who showed up for the first time.

If you’ve been curious about Santa Rosa Women for Good, we invite you to come to an event, bring a friend, or learn more about becoming an Impact Member. Together, we’re building something special and we can’t wait to see what we accomplish next.
