Community, Connection & a Visit to Positive Images
Last night, our Santa Rosa Women for Good community gathered for our January Social Mixer and it was a beautiful way to kick off the year together. Members and guests came together at the Positive Images Community Center for an evening rooted in connection, learning, and shared hope for the year ahead.
One of the highlights of the night was a guided tour of the Positive Images Community Center, led by Executive Director Chase Overholt. Chase generously shared the story of the organization, the impact it has across Sonoma County, and the vision guiding their work. Walking through the space and hearing firsthand about the programs and services offered made the mission of Positive Images feel tangible and deeply personal.
Positive Images is a Sonoma County–based nonprofit dedicated to supporting LGBTQIA+ youth, adults, and families through advocacy, education, and community-building. Their community center serves as a safe, affirming space where people can access resources, build relationships, and show up as their authentic selves. From youth and adult programs and support groups to leadership development and outreach, Positive Images plays a vital role in creating a more inclusive and compassionate community for all.
Last Fall, Santa Rosa Women for Good was honored to award Positive Images a $5,000 grant to support their ongoing work in our community. Visiting the center and learning more about how those funds help fuel their mission made the impact of collective giving feel especially real for our members.
Beyond the tour, the evening was filled with meaningful conversation and genuine connection. Members spent time catching up with familiar faces while also welcoming new members and friends who joined us for the first time—a reminder of how our circle continues to grow.
As we mingled, we each shared what we’re hoping for in 2026. These conversations—hopeful, honest, and energizing—are at the heart of what Santa Rosa Women for Good is all about.
Our January Social Mixer was a powerful reminder that when women come together with a shared desire to do good, meaningful things happen. We’re grateful to Chase and the team at Positive Images for welcoming us so warmly, and to every member and guest who made the evening so special.
Here’s to a year ahead filled with connection, purpose, and growing the good together.
