Building Community: Our Next Chapter

We’re so excited to share some big news: Santa Rosa Women for Good is now officially a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization!

We want to reassure our community that nothing is changing in how our grants or donations are processed. Our giving circle model remains the same — members will continue to nominate and vote on local nonprofits, and donations to our grant fund remain 100% tax-deductible, just as they have been from the beginning.

What has changed is our ability to grow.

This milestone gives us more flexibility to expand how we show up for our members and our community! We are looking forward to creating new ways for women to connect, build relationships, and do good together.

Since awarding our first grant in 2023, our community has donated over $70,000 to local nonprofits. Today, we’re proud to have 93 women in our community, including 60+ Impact Members whose commitment to quarterly giving makes this work possible. As we grow, so will our ability to support more local organizations across Sonoma County.

At the heart of Santa Rosa Women for Good is community. Over the last 3 years, we have learned that while our members share a strong commitment to giving back locally, many are also seeking connection and opportunities to build relationships. In a time when loneliness is at an all-time high, we’re proud to offer a space that is welcoming, inclusive, flexible, and low-commitment — a community that adds to women’s lives, rather than another obligation.

With this new chapter, we’re excited to roll out expanded events and community-building opportunities. Stay tuned — we have some fun things planned for the year ahead!
