Empowering Teens Through Connection & Care: Spotlight on CHOPS Teen Club

We are thrilled to be able to highlight CHOPS Teen Club, a Sonoma County–based organization supporting local teens and the recipient of our Winter 2025 grant. Santa Rosa Women for Good awarded them $5,230 in recognition of the transformative work they do to create safe, welcoming spaces where teens can grow, connect, and thrive.

CHOPS Teen Club exists to support teens through connection, mentorship, and community. Their programs meet young people where they are—socially, emotionally, and developmentally—offering positive alternatives, trusted adult relationships, and a sense of belonging. In a time when many teens are navigating stress, isolation, and pressure, CHOPS provides something essential: a consistent place to feel seen, supported, and valued.

Through group activities, skill-building opportunities, and relationship-driven programming, CHOPS fosters resilience, confidence, and leadership in the teens they serve. Staff and volunteers work to build genuine, lasting connections, helping teens develop communication skills, self-worth, and a sense of their own potential. These programs are more than activities—they are lifelines, giving teens the tools and support they need to navigate adolescence successfully.

Our giving circle was inspired by CHOPS Teen Club’s commitment to Sonoma County youth and the tangible ways they invest in the next generation. Supporting teens before they reach crisis, providing safe spaces, and helping them build confidence is an investment in our community’s future. By awarding this grant, we are proud to help CHOPS continue to create opportunities, mentorship, and hope for local teens.

A Message from Melissa Stewart, Executive Director of CHOPS Teen Club

“Your kindness and commitment to our mission are truly making a difference in the lives of the teens we serve. Your contribution goes beyond financial support — it reflects your belief in our teens and their potential. Together, we are creating brighter futures for the next generation.”

We are honored to support CHOPS Teen Club and grateful for the work they do every day to empower teens, strengthen families, and build a healthier, more connected Sonoma County for the next generation.
