Hike For Migrant Rights - Supporting VIDAS

  • Mark West Creek Park and Preserve Santa Rosa, CA United States (map)

Join some of our members in supporting Vital Immigrant Defense and Advocacy Services at their upcoming Hike for Migrant Rights.

Join VIDAS for a beautiful event at Sonoma County Regional Park's exclusive Mark West Creek Park and Preserve. We will offer out-and-back hikes for all interest levels, including 1, 3, and 6 mile options. Please wear hiking gear appropriate for the weather and close-toed shoes. We recommend bringing a reusable water bottle and sunscreen. Also, be mindful of poison oak and ticks!

Botanical Bus has graciously offered to provide a welcoming ceremony and two of their staff will be on the trail to share some insights about local healing herbs. We will have coffee, water, and snacks available to all participants.

All proceeds will fund direct legal services to immigrants facing deportation and family separation right here in Sonoma County. This is an opportunity for connection, solidarity, and action. See you on the trail!

Interested in doing more? You can also support this event by sponsoring a hiker or becoming an event sponsor. Sponsorship opportunities start at $50 and make it possible for even more community members to take part while helping VIDAS continue its critical work.
