Join LandPaths' friendly stewardship staff in a morning and early afternoon dedicated to keeping the land healthy and resilient in the face of wildfire and other climate-change aggravated challenges.

About Bohemia Ecological Preserve: Bohemia Ecological Preserve is located on the ancestral territory of the Coast Miwok, past, present, and future. This 1,000-acre protected, open space, people-powered preserve in West Sonoma County teems with old-growth forest, oak woodlands, native grasslands, and a legendary waterfall. Several endangered and at-risk species live here, including northern spotted owls, red tree voles, and Pennell's bird's beak.

Sampling of activities for the day:

  • Hiking up and down moderate slopes

  • Trimming small branches off Douglas Fir, California Bay, and Oak trees with handsaws, pole saws, or loppers

  • Felling small Douglas Fir trees with small handsaws and loppers

  • Moving woody material

What else do you need to know?

  • No experience necessary! Everyone is welcome! We will create tasks according to your abilities

  • You will be asked to sign a liability waiver

  • There is a portable restroom on site
